James Rawlson has fifteen years of experience running his own law firm called James Rawlson and Associates out of San Francisco California. His firm is dedicated to bringing his clients the service they deserve.
When James isn’t working hard on his client’s cases, he dedicated his time to Habitat for Humanity. Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to give families a springboard to secure stable futures through very affordable home ownership, neighborhood revitalization, and financial literacy.
About Habitat for Humanity
With help from volunteers, donors, community leaders, staff, and partner homeowners, San Francisco’s Board of Directors approved a plan to meet very ambitious goals by 2020.
San Francisco’s Habitat for Humanity provides a hand-up as opposed to hand-out for families that are in desperate need of improved living conditions. The new homeowners invest 500 hours of “sweat equity” to help build their own homes as well as give additional time for homeowner workshops. These houses are then sold to partner families at no profit and are financed with affordable, zero-interest mortgages.
Believe in the Cause
James Rawlson truly believes in this cause because it is not simply a giveaway. Families have to earn those things that they truly need and in the process, learn how to maintain those homes and finances that they have worked to own. Habitat for Humanity also takes into account their impact on the world by building sustainable change by building greenhouses. This not only helps the people they build them for, but the world as a whole.
Since 1990, Habitat Greater San Francisco has funded nearly 400 homes abroad through their annual Habitat International tithe. They have tithed more than $1 Million to communities in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Sri Lanka, Poland, Peru, China, and Vietnam.
James Rawlson is proud to be part of such a fantastic organization and looks forward to contributing even more of his time to this great cause.
